  • Liz Lundregan, Personal Growth Representative SASO Boys (Scholars and Athletes Serving Others)

Jim has channeled his grief into a foundation that he is not only passionate about but determined to help families and young people address these issues. His talk was heartfelt, moving and left you feeling empowered to help others and to keep the conversation open about depression and its impact. His message was very timely and very relatable to any families with children.

  • Lauren Adams, Co-President Fairfield University Psychology Club

Jim came to speak to our students at Fairfield University and touched more hearts than we even anticipated. He came prepared not only to share his own personal story and his experience with losing a loved one from suicide, but he also came with the intention of spreading awareness of these effects and how to identify those who are struggling with depression, and suicidal thoughts/ideation as well. Jim's passion for sharing his story as well as his coping and prevention tactics radiated throughout the room during the entirety of his talk and was extremely contagious to all of our audience members. Jim allowed the Fairfield community to come together and have a necessary open conversation about how we can do better to check in on one another and continue to spread awareness and kindness wherever we go!

  • Deepika Kaushik, NTT Data LIFT Employee Resource Group Coordinator

After attending the webinar, I had very emotional responses from the audience; emails started pouring in. It is time that we acknowledge and accept that depression is for real. Kevin’s Afterglow is forever and without borders – losing a battle to depression is not local anymore. Kevin is living his life even after he is gone physically. His soul is spreading the message of love and kindness through Kevin’s Afterglow foundation. I thank James for his courage to tell us the story of his son Kevin and lighting lives of many.
